Re: Redskins to open season
Another reason the NFL dominates. The actual release of the schedule is an event. Wow.
Love how the Cowboys open up the new building against a division rival, just wish it was the Skins. Thought it was a shame they closed the old one out against the Ravens.
Biggin - just don't know about the Niners. Their QB situation needs to be fixed, the Alex Smith situation has to be rectified before they can go 10-6 imo. I think they might get in a hole early on with the top 8 of their schedule. I think as many as six of those could be losses(exceptions being Seattle, St Louis), then after that they have to go to Green Bay in November, which isn't easy for a west coast warm climate team to do. But then again, if they come out and catch the Cards on the Superbowl loser hangover, that could set a tempo for the season and they could come out shootin..But I think they will have a subpar season.
I really am not a fan of the Cowboys schedule at all, even though they get to play five teams with new coaches. They should get at LEAST two losses in their division, and their out of conference schedule isn't a pushover. Denver, KC, Seattle I don't see causing problems, but the Saints, Packers(at Lambeau in Nov.), SD, Tampa Bay, Oakland(IMO will be much improved), Atlanta, and Carolina are all looking potentially scary, esp. with some of the questions the Boys have. It's very possible the Cowboys don't make the playoffs again. I've hyped them up the last two years, hopefully this year when I'm down on them they prove me wrong again.
